Dearest Alice,
What a wealth of memories surge through my mind. We are living in a beautiful home, surrounded by lovely neighbors. It is the 14 of Jan 1923. Rev. Thomas Howell is with us. He has brought us a lovely baby girl; we name her Alice after a very dear relation, Uncle Heber’s wife Alice.
There are eight little folk to bless our home. She was the special pride of her brother Wm., who has always adored her. So —
