Dearest mother and father;

I received your letter a few days after I wrote you.
I am very proud to be a uncle to a little girl. I will be very glad to see it.

I just received a nice gift from Anna. Some handkerchiefs and some pinenuts. It seems to take quite a while to get the mail around to all the posts. I am glad that you heard from Dick, tell him I always think of him. I will write to him some time myself.

I am very busy, and don't go out but very little. I have received a few nice cards from Scipio. As regards to the improvement I don't know when I will have time to read it and it will be a shame to throw it away. I would rather have them send it to you. Maybe we will get more time after while.

I will send my pictures as soon as I can.

William
